Macabre…ish Cults, Classics & Horrors Podcast: Christopher Sheffield & Kellen Garner
(Credit: Christopher Sheffield)
Christopher Sheffield is back! If you recall, he was here talking about, in part, a project called Eigengrau, a psychological horror that’s in the works. It’s a film about people’s mental illness presenting as real life monsters. It’s still in the works, we’ll keep you posted.
(Kellen Garner as Joe in Blood in Them Hills)
This time he is back with co-director, writer and actor Kellen Garner and they’re here to talk about their new film, Blood in them Hills. They talk about how they work together, the idea for Blood in them Hills and the often grueling task of getting the film made. It was so rough, some of the crew thought the movie was cursed.
From the first day, it was tough, from grinding through terrible winter weather, to an absent lead, car accident and a death of a crew member. It took years to complete this project for so many reasons but these guys are professionals and you can’t see any of that struggle on screen, somehow it all came together.
This episode is a behind the scenes chat and a play by play of the effort that went into this film, the challenges and how Sheff and Kellen overcame them all.
