Macabre…ish Cults, Classics & Horrors Review: Crybaby

Crybaby is short and sweet and I have to say, there is something Demoni about these zombies. Which, by the way, were perfectly cast. I don’t know how the director, Christopher Sheffield, did it but there is something so nostalgic about the feel of this, while the zombies were fast, exciting and fresh.

I never really cared for talking zombies but the horrifying honesty of these zombies makes them so much more terrifying. The infection moves fast and it is gory, I liked it, a lot. And for such a short flick, the dialogue was very nice.

The downsides, other than that lock, it was too short, I definitely wanted more.

Upsides that weren’t mentioned, the 3 to 1, female/male ratio. Great gore makeup, it was actually painful to look at and it absolutely elevated these zombies.

I could watch a feature and a couple of sequels of this. Ok, I won’t be greedy…a feature but I’m gonna need the behind the scenes. That’s my final offer!

Very well done!
