Macabre…ish Horror: Entity Man Horror Film List

This is a list of ___Man movies. They used to be easier to find in a search so that when you looked up one, many if the same would pop up. That is not so anymore so I’m making lists so they are easier to find. I’ll update as I find or see them.

  The Boogey Man (2023)- A family, two sisters and their dad are grieving the loss of their mother. But they will not be grieving in peace because an entity that thrives on suffering has attached itself to them. And it will destroy them if they can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

• Boogeyman (2005) - Tim, haunted by the memory of his dad being taken by a monster and disappearing into his closet, is returning home. He’s returning after the death of his mother to find out if that was real or a figment of his imagination.

• Boogeyman 2 (2007) - Laura is checking into a facility to hopefully concur her fear of the boogey man. Unfortunately, patients are being killed and the method is by what they fear most.

• Boogeyman 3 (2008) - College student, Erin, is sure her roommate was killed by the boogey man. And unbeknownst to her, her insistence that it’s true and spreading the story is actually making the legendary entity stronger. Which is leading to more deaths. How do you stop an entity if you can’t talk about it and it’s not real?

• The Bye Bye Man - Three friends move into a house and discover and entity known as The Bye Bye Man. Here’s the thing though, what keeps you safe is not knowing of its existence. Once you know its name, you summon it, you don’t even have to say it out loud. It’s probably too late for these friends but if they keep it a secret, they can save others…probably…

• Candy Man - A son of an enslaved man grew up to become a painter and fell in love with a white woman. He was then lynched by a mob, his hand cut off and smeared with honey and stung by bees, finally he was burned on a pyre. Candyman can be summoned by saying his name 5 times and he will arrive with a hook and crawling with bees.

• The Empty Man - A retired detective, James.  investigates the case of a missing girl. He uncovers a bizarre cult and an entity. To summon him, you need to find an empty bottle on a bridge, blow into it, then simply think of the Empty Man and he will arrive. James will find out that he should have chosen to leave well enough alone, if he ever had a choice, at all. His part in this story will turn out worse than he ever imagined.

• The Midnight Man - Alex and Miles find a game in Alex’s grandmother’s attic and unknowingly unleashes an entity that plays on their deepest, darkest fears. The entity isn’t always there, they just have to survive until 3:33. The Midnight Man does not accept defeat though but they can survive it, in fact, someone in the house already has, for decades. But these new players are gonna have to play the long game and the game requires new players.

• Slender Man - A group of bored friends want to summon Slender Man after one of them goes missing. After watching a video and consulting someone who knows, they carry it out, knowing that if Slender man is real he can make them go insane or kidnap them. They need to make sufficient offerings to him and if he rejects them, he may take the kids instead.

• Stickman - Emma has spent years in a sanitarium trying to put her traumatic childhood behind her that includes the accusation that she killed her little sister. Once she’s free, the sleep demon, the Stickman, that she’s been fighting forever, is out again and no one is safe.
