Macabre…ish Horror: Killer Kids Films

 

It is becoming increasingly difficult to search for using search engines because they are not indexing similar movies anymore, so I’m going to keep my movie lists on this site for ease of use. I’ll list them as I remember/see them and I do plan to keep these lists updated regularly. 


  • Bloody Birthday - Three kids, all born on the same day and during an eclipse start to kill the people around them, on their 10th birthday. No one is safe and no one knows when or if it will end.


  • The Children - During a family vacation, all of the children suddenly became ill at the same time and instead of recovering, they became strange. Distant to the adults, not themselves at all and they all started luring the adults away, to kill them.


  • The Children (1980) - A nuclear power plant leaks, causing toxic radioactive rain that infects and changes the kids. The infected kids’ nails turn black and one touch from them will scorch the skin.


  • Children of the Corn - A couple, Burt and Vicky, stops in a seemingly empty rural NE town called Gatlin. Turns out, it is only empty of adults because the local kids killed them all. They’ve been turned into a cult led by teens, Malachai and Isaac and they all worship a corn demon who demands human sacrifice. And the children are happy to oblige. And Burt and Vicky have to escape before they’re sacrificed next.


  • Cooties - Elementary school children turn into zombies after eating contaminated chicken nuggets. The few survivors left only have one chance, the school’s misfit teachers.


  • Cub - A troop camping trip in a forest where there is a belief that werewolves live, freaks out one of the campers so much that when, the worst starts to happen, he’s the one who’s ready. The forest is filled with booby traps and they are setting them off and getting killed. Turns out the forest was dangerous after all, just a different kind of danger.


  • Hive (2026) - Sasha is babysitting Bailey and she realizes something is very wrong at the playground when the child suddenly vanishes and after being found, violently attacks her. And whatever is wrong with her is happening to the other kids too. They are all operating in unison and it’s scary. It’s not long before the kids are killing the adults, the help first, then the parents…but not all of them. Whatever is causing this is also terra forming the playground and it has control of all of the children.


  • Kids vs Aliens - A Halloween party is interrupted by the arrival of aliens and the abduction of some of the kids. Rival kids have no choice but to team up in an attempt to survive.


  • Little Monsters - A class field trip, chaperoned the teacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita N’yongo) and one of the kid’s uncles, Dave, should have been a normal day at a petting zoo until the zombie outbreak happens.


  • Mikey - Mikey is being adopted again after his last set of parents were violently murdered. This placement will be no different except they’ll figure out that Mikey is the actual danger.


  • The Monster Squad - The local teen monster club receive and have translated, the journal of a legendary monster hunter, Dr. Van Helsing. They find out one day, every century, the balance of good and evil reach a balance and an amulet that contains goodness needs to be used to open a wormhole to cast the monsters, that currently flooding the town, back into limbo.


  • Lee Cronin’s The Mummy - In Egypt, a child is lured aways and kidnapped by a person known as The Magician. Eight years later in Arizona, after a plane crash, Katie was found in a catatonic state, wrapped in paper, in a sarcophagus. The child, who barely looks like herself, inexplicably is returned to her family. Now they have to try to survive her.


  • The People Under The Stairs - Insane inbred parents, Ma & Pa, adopts a lot of children and hoards a lot of money. And because they need to keep their captives…I mean kids in and the rabble out, they’ve turned their house of horrors  into a fortress. When one day, Leroy and Fool, break in and are trapped inside, their only hope at escape will be with the many children, currently imprisoned inside.


  • Perkins 14 - After a manis arrested and his house searched, a hidden room full of cages of children, monitors and tapes, a switch is flipped and they’re all let out. But these kids are very different from when they were taken, they are feral and violent. And now they are loose upon the town creating havoc and carnage. Among them is the town sheriff’s own son who’s been missing for a decade. Though they were once innocent victims, these kids have to be stopped.


  • The Plague (2006) - In 1983, all the kids under age 9, collectively fell into a coma and have been cared for in facilities and by family for a decade. Then one day, they all collectively woke up. With seemingly, a hive mind and super natural strength they  started attacking and killing everyone.



  • Village of the Damned - Some sort of mysterious even caused every woman in the town of Midwich to become pregnant. And months later, every single one of them gave birth to nearly identical, super intelligent, malevolent white haired children with glowing eyes, telepathy and other psychic powers. It’s not long before the kids start taking over the town and the adults have to fight against them for survival.


  • Weapons - Seventeen children, from the same 3rd class, all vanished at the same time (2:17 am), in the middle of the night. The town is in a shambles over the missing kids and there are no leads.


  • Whisper (2007) - A boy has been kidnapped and a ransom has been requested, 50 grand and they have big plans for that money. But two things, this child is not a normal child, he can do things and he is somehow pitting the gang against each other. The other thing, his parents don’t seem to want him back. And the kidnappers are about to find out why.


  • Who Can Kill A Child (1976) - An English couple, Tom and Evelyn, vacations on an island only to find that the only inhabitants on the island are children. The children killed all of the adults. And Tom and Evelyn, pregnant with their third child, are struggling with whether they can kill these murderous children to save themselves.


  • The Willies - Three boys have a sleep over and share camp fire stories that they swear are true. One story more far fetched than the last from deep fried rat to microwaved dog to a bathroom monster and a manure stealing thief who tricked a girl into eating flies. But the final reveal lies with the boys’ own family member Uncle Henry.
