Macabre...ish Horror Review: Charlie’s Farm
Charlie’s Farm, 2014/ 1 hr 28 min
Some friends head to the Australian Outback to investigate the legend of Charlie’s Farm. The legend is that a mob wiped out a sadistic family, the husband was a rapist and torturer, his wife would then kill his victims in a jealous rage. Decaying bodies were found all over the house. The story is the couple were killed but the son, Charlie, survived and was never found.
That’s the story anyway and because of it, lots of curious fans of the legend head to the Outback seeking clues. Seeking Charlie.
But if anything happens, help will not be coming, the police have stopped going out there. And of course, when anyone goes missing, Charlie’s Farm is always the culprit.
The foursome finally find what’s left of the original house and it’s little more than a big shack. It appears to have had a few visitors over time. They spend the night and tell serial killer campfire stories.
The next day, they split up in pairs with a new pair of campers, to explore and it was the exact wrong thing to do. They wanted to find something and they definitely do. But will any of them survive it?
This Aussie slasher is graphic. The kills are gruesome and over the top. If you stream it, they won’t show everything but they may as well have. Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder and Tara Reid are in this one.
